Choosing the right colour for your oak flooring can be difficult. Choosing the appropriate furniture to match your oak flooring can be equally as a difficult!

Take a look at these images showing the same wooden furniture combination but with a range of different oak flooring colours. In these examples, we have made use of the Blanchon Hard Waxoil – White, Blanchon Original Wood Environment – Ultra Matt, Blanchon Hard Waxoil – Light Oak and for the darkest piece one of our Prefinished Engineered Oak ranges – which uses a combination of different finishes to create to darker tone.

Notice how the use of a mid layer (in this case the white sheep wool rug) helps to provide a buffer between the wooden furniture and the wooden floor. This helps to create a division between the two wood colours, which could otherwise either blend into each other or look unsightly.
