The Osmo Door-Oil is a stain-resistant, water repellent, abrasion-resistant clear, satin wood finish that results in a surface which is pleasant to the touch. The oil is ideal for the protection of solid and some selected veneered wood interior doors (always check with door manufacturers recommendations).

Application is simple without a primer or intermediate sanding. Its microporous surface will not crack, peel, flake or blister and is resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water.

Coverage depends significantly on the condition of the wood


The surface of the wood should be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%). Supplied ready to use (do not thin), shake the oil well before use.

Old microporous stains should be cleaned thoroughly. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed. Small cracks, larger joints or holes in wood should be filled with Osmo Wood Filler.

Sand wood surfaces carefully beginning with coarse sandpaper - final sanding P120-150 for solid wood doors.

Remove all traces of dust with a broom or vacuum cleaner prior to oiling.

If possible, apply the first coat to all sides before installation.

Apply thinly and evenly with the Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller to the clean and dry wood along the wood grain (spreading well). If applying the Osmo Door-Oil 3033 Raw, remove excess white pigment before allowing the surface to dry

Allow for good ventilation while drying.

Once dry, apply a second coat - also thinly.
