The Mansion Grade Solid Oak Flooring is the 14mm equivalent of our Manor Grade oak flooring. This is a traditional brown oak board which occurs from the action of a fungus living in the oak tree. This stains the grain to give a striped board which is full of character.

It is important to note that the effect of this fungus is purely cosmetic. These solid oak boards are just as strong as our normal oak flooring and have a similar range of knots and shakes to our Character Grade Oak.

One of the great benefits of choosing a 14mm solid oak board over an 20mm solid oak board is where room height could be an issue. The 14mm boards provide all the great benefits of an 20mm board, whilst losing as little room height as possible.
