Oak Walls & Ceilings

14th May 2010 @ 15:04

How about this for something a little bit different?

It's all too easy to get stuck in a design rut - like oak boards being used only for flooring.

These examples from Australian company Harper & Sandilands show that oak can look just as good on the ceiling and walls as it does on the floor.

In their case, they use an oak-look board but there is no reason at all why you couldn't achieve a similar effect using our Legere 14mm solid oak flooring.

The beauty of using an unfinished oak board like ours is that you can achieve exactly the colour and surface treatment you want for the particular room - and if you don't like the result, you can sand it down and start again!

If any of you have done this already, it would be great to see some pictures.

If you fancy the look of oak walls and ceilings, we've got Grange barn grade 14mm solid oak flooring on special offer until the end of May 2010.

At just £15 + VAT per square metre, it's better value than wallpaper!

never occured to me to use lminte flooring on the ceiling - do you have mouldings or other finishing products to deal with light fixtures?
