Oak Flooring In A Contemporary Setting

Oak flooring is being used by top interior designers more and more it seems.

Oak flooring in a contemporary flat

This duplex apartment in Athens, Greece (who says they're bankrupt?) shows how really modern furniture sits just as well on oak flooring as an 18th century French armoire.

Designed by Spacelab Architecture, this apartment uses oak flooring extensively but does raise an interesting point.

Is this solid oak flooring or engineered?

You can't tell and neither can we!

It's certainly of good quality and is probably European oak given the lovely character in the grain, but a floor like this could be yours in either solid or engineered configurations.

It all comes back to location again.

If you want this look in a kitchen we'd recommend our engineered oak flooring - in a drawing room, solid oak is just the job.

Give us a call on 01538 304584 to discuss your next flooring project and we'll help you to decide which is best for you.
