New Guide: How To Restore Your Oak Floor Finish

12th Aug 2013 @ 16:36

As time progresses, no matter what oak floor finish you use your floor may begin to show areas of wear and tear. These areas are often caused by excess traffic over a particular area of your floor and may vary in size from small patches to whole rooms.

For the general day to day cleaning we always recommend the use of a wood floor soap. Depending on which floor finish brand you choose, there are a number of suitable floor soaps available. These help to preserve the life of your finish. Further to this, many of these brands also have their own maintenance products. These are designed to "refresh" your oak floor finish.

Eventually after a few years however you may be left with no other choice but to recoat your oak floor finish. To help you in this process we have recently created a new guide. This particular guide can be seen by clicking here. Throughout this guide we take a step by step look on how to restore a hard wax oil finish or a floor that has been coated with the Blanchon Original Wood Environment.
