Peak Oak Cuts Through Emissions

Following on from our introduction of more environmentally-friendly fuels, we’ve decided to take it one step further by bringing in a more eco-friendly chainsaw.

Our latest addition is our STIHL MS 181 C-BE which uses reduced-emission engine technology. A fuel free layer of air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase. This simply means that the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle is greatly reduced. The engine provides up to 20% lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines and significantly reduced exhaust emissions. One of the key features of this chain saw is its special ErgoStart system and Chain Quick Tensioning. This makes the saw virtually effortless to start and extremely easy to maintain.

As well as looking after the environment, we also like to look after our staff! Intense vibrations at the handles of power tools can lead to long term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. For this saw STIHL has developed an effective anti-vibration system which significantly reduces vibrations in the handles.
