Here at Peak Oak you may have heard us raving about the sheer precision and quality of the Hakwood engineered oak boards. Previously this would have been something shared only by those looking for an engineered oak floor. This however is not the case any more, as we can now introduce the Reale Collection - Hakwoods only solid oak boards.

Hakwood themselves describe the Reale Collection as "THE flooring for out-and-out wood lovers. It is Hakwoods only solid collection, and a very special one at that". Like their engineered oak boards, the solid boards are made from the finest European oak. For the Reale collection, planks are only selected from the centre of the trunk, each board is 20mm thick and 180mm in width.

One of the defining features of the Reale Collection is the shrunk face surface texture. This natural "wavy" pattern across the boards is created by allowing the boards to dry at exactly the right speed, so that the desired tension is created in the wood. This creates an authentic and timeless appeal to the flooring.

Currently the Reale Collection is available in three different styles: Duca, Barone and Monarca.
