You Don’t Have To Be A Footballer To Afford A Great Floor

9th Aug 2012 @ 12:00

A footballers life, a life of luxury and the stuff of dreams. Living the high life, getting exactly what they want. But what if you want a slice of the action? What if you want something even David Beckham would be proud to have inside his home? Like a great wooden floor which wouldn't look out of place in his home. But you want it at an affordable price? Sounds just about impossible, right? Luckily thanks to our 14mm Solid Oak Flooring you can achieve a truly fantastic floor at an affordable price.

Oak Flooring

Our 14mm solid oak boards were originally created to fit the requirements of ever more challenging locations. One of the most common requirements these days is to replace carpet which has been laid over a plywood sub-floor with oak flooring and yet lose as little room height as possible. This is where our 14mm boards are perfect, as they are just thick enough to provide a strong stable flooring and yet thin enough to replace a carpet/underlay combination.

These boards are also more than strong enough to be used in place of a standard 20mm board when used as a traditional floorboard fixed to joists. As the 14mm flooring is a thinner cut, it means we can get more boards out of the same oak, which results in a lower affordable price for you! These boards have been created from the same high quality European oak as our 20mm boards and look just as great once fitted.

One way in which you could add a real classy effect to your flooring could be to lay your flooring in the ever popular Herringbone pattern. By cutting your boards into wide herringbone, you can really exude a real top quality feel into to your project, as the flooring we supplied to Juicy Couture shows.

All of our boards are supplied unfinished, leaving you with the option on how you want to make your floor look. By finishing the boards with an hardwax oil, such as the Blanchon Hard Waxoil, you can add a beautiful satin or matt finish to your boards. This finish can really enhance the elegance of your flooring as well as adding durability and resistance, ensuring that your flooring remains in that same high quality condition.

As well as our solid oak boards we also supply engineered oak boards, which you can learn more about by clicking here. If you would like to discuss your project with us, and learn exactly how you can make your floor something to be proud of, please give us a call on 01538 304584.
