Summary

Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is a satin-matt oil based protective finish for use on exterior wood. With its decorative nature, it is recommended for use on all exterior woods, windows and windowsills, doors, wood decking and more.

The microporous, breathable finish allows the wood to breathe and therefore reduces the chance of the wood swelling and shrinking.

Being water-repellent and extremely weather and UV resistant, the finish will not crack, flake, peel or blister. The active ingredients of the product also protect the wood from the likes of mould, algae and fungal attack.

Osmo Natural Oil is available in 16 different colour tones, which are: Pine, Larch, Mahogany, Chestnut, Oak, Walnut, Teak, Stone Pine, Ebony, Rosewood, Red Cedar, Fir Green, White, Basalt Grey, Patina Grey and Gard Green.

Ingredients

Sunflower oil, soyabean oil, thistle oil, linseed oil, iron oxide and organic pigments, titanium dioxide (white pigment), siccatives (drying agents) and additives. Disaromatised white spirit (benzene-free). This product fulfills EU-Regulation (2004/42/EC) according to the VOC kimit value max. 400 g/l (Cat A/e (2010).

Application

Begin by ensuring that the wooden surface is completely clean, dry and frost-free.

Supplied ready to use, there is no need to thin, stir well before use.

Apply the oil thinly and evenly along the wood grain using either a hand brush or a micro-fibre roller, making sure to spread well.

Allow for good ventilation when drying.

For a second coat, apply the same way as before. As the final surface quality is dependent on the woods surface structure, it is recommended that a small sample area is tested upon before complete application

A second coat can be applied after approximately 4-6 hours, when the surface becomes touch-dry. Allow approximately 12 hours for the finish to dry completely though this may be increased in areas of lower temperatures or high humidity.

Safety Recommendations

At all times avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact is made with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. The oil contains 2-butanone oxime, dichlofluanid and cobalt carboxylate, which may cause an allergic reaction. In the event of swallowing, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or label. Only use in a well ventilated room.
