Classic grade engineered oak flooring is a special selection we make from our select grade engineered oak boards.
Once in a while, a few boards display the wonderful medullary rays or figuring, usually associated with top end quarter-sawn flooring.
This figuring looks staggeringly beautiful once the colours of a floor have been enhanced by a wax or oil finish.
A classic grade oak board is likely to contain a few pin knots and thin cracks or shakes and these simply add to the character and interest of your oak flooring.
Needless to say, classic grade flooring is pretty rare although we try to keep a few room size batches in stock most of the time.
If a classic grade floor appeals to you, and you need an engineered oak floor, we'd highly recommend you to get your order in well in advance of a delivery date to avoid disappointment.
